This premiere model, funded by The Office of the Governor through a Wagner-Peyser grant, incorporates civic engagement and Service-Learning initatives into STEM curricula at the high school, community college and university levels.
The Compact’s Student Lyceum is an institution for popular education. The lyceum is a forum for the dissemination of knowledge and information in the areas of civic engagement and community involvement. Through discussions, lectures and panelled seminars, the lyceum offers students an opportunity to gain practical experience and insight from experts and leaders in their fields.
A half day or day long panel discussion for high school and college students, along with faculty and staff to attend a member campus for a day of learning about civic engagement, service learning, community project opportunities and how college is possible for all Texans.
