Applications are now being accepted for the 2009 Institute on Philanthropy and Voluntary Service in Washington, D.C. IPVS is a program for undergraduate student leaders who are engaged in service programs. As part of the Institute experience, students are offered a combination of professional internship experience, academic courses at Georgetown University and leadership development activities.
Early Deadline Extension for Campus Compact Students
We have extended our Early Deadline for Campus Compact Students to December 30, 2008. Students who complete their application by this date will receive a 5% discount on their tuition balance as well as priority consideration for scholarships.
Campus Compact students will also be given special consideration for scholarship awards from our general scholarship fund. Students should indicate on their application materials that they are a Campus Compact member and list their activities on their resume.
Nominate More Students
You can nominate well qualified students online at www.dcinternships.org/nominate. Because of your nomination, these students will receive priority consideration in admissions. Feel free to share the details below with students who are active in service on your campus or in your community.

Please forward this information on to your university or nonprofit colleagues to encourage them to nominate well-qualified candidates. IPVS is ideal for undergraduate student leaders who are engaged in volunteerism and careers in the nonprofit sector. All majors and fields of study are welcome.
