What is STEM?
STEM in Action Community Impact (STEM in Action CI) is a program model for incorporating civic engagement (CE) and service learning (SL) components into science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum at the high school, community college, and university levels.
The program is designed to provide opportunities for college students at Austin Community College pursuing teaching
degrees with certifications in STEM areas to participate in CE / SL projects and to receive
scholarships for continuing their education at a four-year institution, ultimately receiving a
bachelors degree in education. Read more about STEM in Action CI...
Applications for the Fall 2009 STEM scholarship are due January 23, 2009.
