Terry Hochenbrough M.P.A.
Terry Hockenbrough is the Director of the Center for Scholarly and Civic Engagement at Collin College. She holds a Masters degree in Public Affairs and is currently completing the dissertation for her Ph.D. in Public Affairs from UT Dallas. She also holds a Masters level certification in Non-Profit Management, and a certification in Management Development with Human Resources Specialization. She is a strong advocate for the service-learning pedagogy, as well as leadership development in higher education. Her background includes working with at-risk youth in the juvenile justice system and consulting with non-profits in their capacity building efforts. She is a trained and certified volunteer with American Red Cross Shelter Operations, C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team), and the Collin County Department of Homeland Security’s Medical Reserve Corp. Ms. Hockenbrough conducts service-learning, volunteer capacity-building, and leadership development workshops at colleges, universities, and state and national conferences.
